26th May6. The times goes by and I have finally managed to get the new payment system ready for next season. As you might see I will seperate the season into two periodes with the 1st. periode from September  to  late Dec, and the 2th periode from Dec 26th April. All of you who have requested a specific tourdate for the next season will get you wanted date, as far as I can see.   

26th April. The prices for next year are ready.

28th March 2010: Regarding requests for the nest season( 2010/11), I will start to process them after a small break who last until the 08th April.

26th March 2010: I dont run tours between 28th March to 07th April because of the easter holiday.

17. Feb. 2010: Please be sure you enter the right tour and NOT the tour(s) who leave the hotel between 18.00 and 18.20. I have to inform you that its your responsebility to get on the right tour and even if I manage to get hold of those of you who are on a wrong bus, there are some times I dont have a chance to do this. Which its bad for us all. It is only one guide in the city of Tromsø with my name, Kjetil Skogli, but there are several other northern lights tours.

04.12.2009. It has been a maraton to responded to all tghe requests, but I’ve found places to most of you. The northern lights has been quite good so far, this season. Some cloudy days and tours, but mostly we’ve been able to find at least some clear skies. Thanks to all of you :) 

03.11.2009. I’m not able to handle all the requests at this time and need to close the booking until the 10th Nov. 09. If you want a tour in November or you are in a hurry because of other issues, please call +4790737552 between 11.00 and 14.00(local time gmt +1)

31:10.09: February starts to fill up. 12th-19th are almost fullbooked with only some singel seats left.  

31.10.09: Please dont use rubberboots on my tours,thanks. Those are might trendy and cool, but are made for rainy days. Not for cold weather where we stand still for hours. 

26.10.2009. Because of a lot of requests, I need to put up a second car in part of February. The second car will go to the same location as the main car.

05.09.2009: 5 days rule. Remember the limit of 5 days to finally confirm/pay at least the deposit after you get my respons and confirmation on your request. Because of a lot of request/ booking I have to ask for an answer/payment within 5 days, so you don’t hold the seats for other people who want a tour. From the 1st Oct this limit will reduced to 3 days.

21.08.2009: The summer is gone, I think, and we’re closing in for a new season chasing for the Northern Light.  The MAC Platform is almost up and running and it looks quite good

07.07.2009: Changing platform. I’m tired to fight with PC’s and MS, and change my system to MAC Pro during July/August. Because of this and also because of holidays, there will be no photoprocessing until August. To you who dont have received links to the photos/ film yet, I’m sorry you have to wait more than you already have. 

20.04.09: If you want to give me a feedback ( negative or positive) regarding my tours, please feel free to send me an email. Its very helpful for me so I can make the tours and your experience as good as possible.

20.04.09. I’ve started to upload photos from the tours this last season.It means mainly tours where people have asked to see and/ or buy photos.  Those of you who have asked for and want to buy photos and/or DVD’s will get a link by email to the photos from your evening with me. I will also upload most of the photos to the main gallery for general view.

23.02.09. The payment page for camerarent are up and running again.

22.02.09. I’m back in the city again after a wonderful tour to the Lyngen Alps, Alta(icehotel) and Kautokeino with 5 lovely guests from Scotland. This tour included chase for the Northern Lights, dogsledding, snowmobile(ski-dooing), hot bathtub with “blue vodka”, visiting Juhls Silver and also a sami knifemaker. The first night we saw a lot of Northern Lights and had a great display. Unfortunatly the weather became cloudy after we left Alta and we saw only a faint display the last night before we returned to Tromsø.  

19.02.09. Because of a travel this week, incoming mails/requests can not be processed before earliest Sunday the 22.th March.

12.02.09. IMPORTANT. Your reservation will be hold for 3 days only after you receive an answer/confirmation from me.  

01.02.09. I travelling in the north of Norway until the 07th Feb and I’m not be able to receive any e-mail or handle any requests this week.

01.02.09. I’m not able to put up a second car in February which means there are only some single seats left on some of the tours.

17.01.09. I’m almost fullbooked(the main van/car) for the rest of the winter. I will not be able to run tous from 31th Jan to 6th Feb. From 18th Feb to 21th Feb I’m away on a private booked travel in the Northern Scandinavia.

31.12.08: Hire a Canon 5D and a 28mm/f1.4 lense for your Northern light tour. I have upgraded to a 5D mk II and have a 5d for rent. All you have to do is to bring a CF memorycard. Price: NOK 990,- for a night. Send me a mail if you’re interested. Only for non -comersial use.

09.09.08: I’m back from London again and I’m pleased that the programme has been watched by 6.6 mill. people during the premier. Because of this success I’ve got a lot of mail and I’m unfortunatly not able to answer all of your request imidiatly.

05.09.08: I’m in London this weekend for the transmission party for “Joanna Lumley In the Land Of The Northern Lights”. Dont forget to tune in On BBC1 7th Sept. 9pm. 27.08.08: For the first time this season I saw a small arc of the Northern Light last night. It’s so good to see her again and knowing she’s still there, waiting for us

Date 25.08.08: On tour with Joanna Lumley. Last season I was lucky enough to get Joanna Lumley as a guest to chase for the Northern Light. In the  documentary “Joanna Lumley in the Land of The Northern Lights”, Joanna travel in the arctic to try to find the Northern Lights. BBC Press Office:

Date 09.08.08: The season is almost there and my van and I are ready to take you out on a real chase for the light.

Date 10.07.08: I leaving for a vacation for the next 14 days and will not be able to check my mail regulary.

Date: 22.05.08: Tour periode for the next season starts 1th Nov. 08 and ends 1th April 09. Tourdays are Saturday, Sunday,Monday and Thursday. In periodes, like February, with many requests there will be set up extra tours.

Date: 21.04.08: New tours coming up: Tours for photographers where we stay out in the nature, living in tent(s)/ Lavvo for 3-4 days. If you’re interested, please contact me for further informtaion. You may also check my site from time to time for more information. I dont have all the details ready yet. The tents are heated and quite comfortable.

Date: 21.04.08. The tours are no stopped because of to bright nights. See you next season.

Date: 05.04.2008. I want to tanks all of my guests for a great season. Even if I did’nt managed to process all of your requests, please feel free to contact me again if you visit Tromsø the next season who start in Oct/Nov 08.  When I write this word its actually a very good overhead display going on.

Date: 05.04.2008. The Northern Lights season is almost ended now. But there still chance to see some lights until the last week of April. However, I’ve stopped new bookings for now.

Date: 24.03.2008. From 25th Marsh the tours starts at 19.00. The days are getting longer and also the daylights.
